Valentine Antique Gallery - Depression Glass

Depression glass is a clear or colored translucent glassware manufactured in the United States around the time of the Depression years beginning in 1929 and ending with WWII. The pieces were usually given away by companies as incentives to try their products. The glassware included dinnerware, serving pieces, vases, bowls and other accent pieces. The most common colors of depression glass are clear or crystal, pink, pale blue and amber. Pieces were made in other colors but these pieces were not as common and are harder to find.
