Valentine Antique Gallery - Fostoria

Fostoria Glass was first produced in 1887 in Fostoria, Ohio. In 1891 production was moved to Moundsville, West Virginia. Fostoria Glass was the first glass company to produce a complete dinner service in crystal. The most popular of the Fostoria Glass patterns is the American Pattern which was reproduced by Lancaster Colony and L. E. Smith Glass but the glass quality was not as clear and crisp as the Fostoria Glass pieces. Lancaster Colony acquired Fostoria Glass in 1983 and continued production until closing in 1986. Fostoria Glass is not marked.
